Ides of Mud

 Spring Fever
Back to Full Blog

I'm not normally susceptible to Spring fever.  This year, however, I have all the symptoms--restlessness, inability to concentrate, daydreaming;  the smell of fresh-mown grass makes me downright frisky.

Maybe I've just achieved enough awareness to actually notice Spring for the first time in years.

With the wild mustard and the daffodils, and the accacias, the whole area has exploded in yellow.

Most of my wanderings are late in the day.

I find salvation in the solitude of Salt Slough...

                                                                     And the mud flats.

Even mud can be beautiful.

So here's to Spring.  May each of you soon find the warmth of new beginnings, beauty in the mundane, and peace in all seasons.

All my love,

Bupu

Lovely!

Spring is in the air here in the Hollow, as well.

Very nice to see you back, Bupu.

Bupu - what an incredible walk into the appreciation of spring! And I love the beauty of that last picture - sort of felt like the winding down after a day of enjoyment. Sometimes it seems that a season takes on new meaning for us and really touches us at the root of our being - be blessed with the sensation of spring, june

How lucky you are to see Spring springing! The pictures give me hope. I'll let you know when it's Spring on the north coast--probably another month and a half....sigh.

Marvelous photos, Bupu. Of course, here in Kiwiland we have the seasons backward and are into fall, but it's all good. May your spring bring forth many delights.

Hello Celtic. Welcome to my blog, belatedly. I didn't realize you hadn't been here before. Seems like I have known you always. I am definitely an animal lover; but my boys are little guys of over six feet, with little ones of their own. Thank you for visiting. Have a wonderful weekend.

Stargazegurl, you really got me going on the fairies. I found myself watching that old movie about the two girls that photographed fairies and were interviewed by Arthur Conan Doyle and Harry Houdini. (Did I spell those right?) Then I planted tomatoes and put fairies in my garden. Must have worked--the last two frosts didn't phase the tomatoes. Ha!

Ooooh good! Tomato faries are some of the best kind of faries! /huge grin! Glad to see the gardening bug is catching you--growing things is such a rewarding and enriching (and yummy--in the case of tomaters) experience. =) Keeping the good wishes coming for a fruity harvest!
