Ides of Mud

 Challenges.
Back to Full Blog

Wouldn’t you know, as soon as I got my internet connection resurrected, Life got in the way of my postings again.  It’s been challenging here since Father’s Day.  I’m having opportunities to practice “letting go.”

In addition to some relatively mundane family crises, I lost a dear old friend, who was also my mentor and retired business partner.  She was able to spend her last years in Maui, a dream she’d had since childhood.  Now I like to think she’s found an even more beautiful Paradise.  Until we meet again, Mary, Aloha.

My delightful little mother-in-law will be 88 next Friday.  The following Monday she is scheduled for breast cancer surgery.  Hubby is making travel plans for an extended visit.  It’s been three years since we last saw his mom, so he’ll hopefully have the chance to do some much needed catching up.  I have my dad here to care for, so I can only be with them in spirit.

In the midst of all, business provided us a rejuvenating trip to San Francisco last week.  We took a six-hour cruise of the bay, and spent an afternoon in a quaint little marina just outside the city.  There’s nothing quite as soothing to me as the rhythm of the ocean.

I was going to post a slideshow here, but that’s not working for me either.  I've wasted the entire day trying to post this and the photos, but that is not to be.   SORRY.    This turned out to be a lousy post.

HAVE A WONDERFUL WEEKEND, EVERYONE.

May each of you experience calm seas and safe harbors.

All my love,

Bupu
